Mamprugu Moagduri NCCE Rallies Yagaba Technical SHS Students to Fight Against Corruption

The Mamprugu Moagduri District Office of the NCCE, has engaged students of Yagaba Technical Senior High School on the urgency in strengthening the rule of law and intensifying the fight against corruption.

The District Director, Salifu Ibrahim, underscored the dangers of corruption and its rippling effect on Ghana’s development. He urged students to embrace integrity, ethical leadership, and respect for the rule of law as guiding principles to become responsible future leaders.

“Corruption undermines progress and tarnishes our collective image as a nation. As young people, you must reject it and uphold values that build Ghana,” he emphasised.

From the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Mariam Seidu encouraged students to report corruption-related cases and misconduct to relevant agencies, including the Ghana Police Service, the National Security, and CHRAJ itself.

She highlighted the importance of monitoring public institutions within their constituencies to ensure accountability. “When public officers shirk their responsibilities, it is the duty of citizens to hold them accountable under the law,” she stated.

Also present was the Director of the Information Service Department in the District, Salifu Sulley, who advised students to conduct themselves responsibly in society to safeguard their budding reputation. He stressed that bribery and corruption have no place in the Ghanaian society, urging the students to report suspected cases to the appropriate authorities.
