SOUTH TONGU NCCE ENGAGES KEY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO PROMOTE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

In a move to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and national development efforts, the South Tongu District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) on 13th May 2026 engaged key government agencies in Sogakope through a relationship-building initiative.

As part of the engagement, the NCCE team paid working visits to the District Audit Service and the Department of Social Welfare on 12th May 2026, and to the District Electoral Commission on 13th May 2026.

At the District Audit Service, Director Mr. Alfred Sowah Anang commended the NCCE for the initiative. He encouraged the Commission to extend its civic education efforts to other government agencies and departments, emphasizing that the Audit Service’s mandate covers not only financial audits but also performance audits.

The District Director of Social Welfare, Mr. Joel Quarcoo, expressed appreciation for the engagement and reaffirmed his department’s commitment to continue collaborating with the NCCE in delivering on their respective mandates.

Receiving the NCCE team, the District Electoral Commission Officer, Mrs. Rita Avevor, welcomed the visit and underscored the strong working relationship between the two commissions. She noted that the visit reflects the NCCE’s dedication to upholding and safeguarding Ghana’s democracy.

The NCCE South Tongu District Office stated that the initiative is aimed at promoting inter-agency cooperation and fostering a shared responsibility toward building a stronger Ghana.
