NCCE NORTH EAST REGIONAL DIRECTORATE INTERACTS WITH THE NATIONAL AMBULANCE SERVICE DURING ITS CONSTITUTION WEEK CELEBRATION

The staff of the North East Regional Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) led by the Regional Director, Mr Wilberforce Zangina engaged some Officers of the National Ambulance Service as part of the Commission's week-long celebration of the Fourth Republican Constitution of Ghana. The theme for this year's celebration is; " Together we can build Ghana, so get involved ".

The Commission instituted the Annual Celebration of the Constitution since 2001 to create awareness and also encourage the citizens to read the Constitution at all times and this is the 23rd celebration from inception. The Regional Director took the audience through the journey from 1960 the First, 1969 the Second and the 1979 Third Republics, which unfortunately were short-lived due to military intervention. The only longest and surviving Republic is the current fourth Republican Constitution, which is 32 years old now and still counting.

He encouraged the Officers to rise up and defend the 1992 Republican Constitution of Ghana at all times against any form of abuse or violation by a person or a group of persons. Mr. Zangina took time to educate the men and women of the Service about the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections slated for December 7, 2024. In attendance were; the Deputy Regional Director, Mr. Sato Gariba, the Regional Head of Programmes Mr. Yussif Rahman Saeed and a Programmes Officer, Mr. Iddi Mohammed Yahaya.
