​NCCE KWAHU SOUTH MUNICIPAL EDUCATE CHURCHES ON VOTE-BUYING

Staff from the National Commission for Civic Education Kwahu South Municipal Office visited three churches in Mpraeso. They include All Nations Christian Center, White Alpha and Omega Church, and Jesus Tabernacle Church. The engagement was focused on promoting Political and Religious Tolerance and addressing concerns about Vote Buying during this upcoming national elections.

Mr. Benjamin Baah (Civic Education Officer) led the presentation, emphasising the crucial role of the religious community in fostering tolerance and condemning vote-buying practices. He urged the congregants to uphold principles of acceptance and non-violence, particularly amidst diverse political and religious beliefs. Mr Baah also highlighted recent instances of vote buying and its detrimental impact on democratic processes, urging active engagement and vigilance from all participants. The session saw enthusiastic participation from members of the congregations, who shared their insights, suggestions, and questions.

The resource persons included Mr. Benjamin Baah (Civic Education Officer), Mr. Emmanuel Ofori (Assistant Civic Education Officer), Miss Peggy Bruce Ashong (Assistant Civic Education Officer), Mr. Desmond Konadu (Principal Field Officer), and Mr. Bismark Addo (National Service Personnel).
