VOTING IN NATIONAL ELECTIONS IS A CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY - NCCE

The New Juaben North Office of the National Commission of Civic Education, NCCE has engaged Students of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Training College in the Municipality on the importance of national elections, national cohesion, and peaceful coexistence. The engagement preceded the election of new SRC executives for the school.

The New Juaben North Municipal Director, Ebenezer Acheampong addressing students, lecturers and members of management of the institution spoke on the importance of elections. Mr. Acheampong reminded the students of the upcoming 2023 Assembly Members and Unit Committee Members elections. He entreated all eligible voters to actively participate in the national exercise and make it a duty to exercise their right by electing committed leaders for the desired development. At the SRC level, he urged the students to equally participate and contest for various positions when polls are opened. He again charged them to elect competent people to represent the students.

Mr. Acheampong briefly touched on national peace and cohesion calling on the students to live in harmony with each other and report all forms of criminalities at school, homes, and communities to the appropriate authorities.
