Two-Day Clean-Up Exercise Promotes Environmental Sanitation in Weija-Gbawe

The NCCE Weija-Gbawe Municipal Office, in collaboration with the Ghana Immigration Service (Weija Sector), the Ghana National Fire Service, and the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, organized a two-day intensive clean-up exercise across selected communities within the municipality. The initiative was carried out in line with the directive of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, to promote environmental cleanliness and improve public health.

In addition to the clean-up exercise, officials engaged residents through public education and sensitization campaigns on the importance of proper waste disposal, personal hygiene, and maintaining clean surroundings. Community members were encouraged to take collective responsibility for protecting the environment by adopting good sanitation practices and supporting efforts to keep the municipality clean, healthy, and safe for all.
