The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Ahanta West Municipal Directorate, on Thursday, 1st October, 2026, engaged first-year students of Sankor Senior High School in an educational interaction aimed at promoting discipline and reducing incidents of indiscipline in second-cycle institutions.
The engagement encouraged the students to uphold good conduct, respect school rules and regulations, and take responsibility for their actions as they adjust to life in senior high school.
The students were urged to protect school property, including classrooms, dormitories, the assembly hall, the dining hall, and the administration block.
Citing Article 41 of the 1992 Republican Constitution of Ghana, which outlines the duties of citizens, the facilitators reminded the students that their behaviour, both within and outside the school, reflects on the school and the nation as a whole. They stressed that there is no good or bad school; rather, it is the students who shape the image of the school they attend.
The students were also encouraged to be patriotic by offering their skills and talents to represent the school in all disciplines.
The Resource Persons were Mr Prince K. Abakrow, Senior Civic Education Officer (SCEO), and Miss Amanda S. Kudafa, Civic Education Officer (CEO).
