The West Mamprusi Municipal Directorate has visited four communities to educate the public on the need to register in the ongoing Limited Voter Registration Exercise.
The communities visited were Sayoo, Sandafong, Gbimsi and Wulugu. The resource person was the Municipal Director, Imoro Issahaku Thomas.
He urged those who have turned 18 and those who for one reason or the other could not register in the previous exercise to do so. He asked them to go with either their Ghana card, passport, driver's license or an old voter's card and a residential address.
He also made mention that those who do have a valid identification card should present two guarantors to enable them to register. If anybody's registration is being challenged, he/she can fill out a protest form. He added that the registration is taking place at only the Electoral Commission (EC) offices. Mr. Imoro mentioned further that, the registration will end on 27th May, 2024.
