NCCE SEKYERE CENTRAL DIRECTORATE EDUCATE STUDENTS ON THEIR CIVIC RESPONSIBILITIES

NCCE, Sekyere Central Directorate, engaged the students of SDA and DA JHSs in Nsuta. The students were taken through the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana. Article 41 of Chapter 5 of the said Constitution was well spelt. Thus, the students were advised to:

  • Defend the Constitution at all costs
  • Live in peace and harmony with one another
  • Respect the national symbols and anthem and other patriotic songs
  • Protect public property
  • Compulsory national service
  • Protect the environment via communal labour engagement
  • Payment of taxes.

Mr. Gordon Yeboah Opoku (DD), who was the resource person, further advised them to be good ambassadors by doing away with lifestyles that could jeopardise their future, such as drug abuse, and to be equally vigilant with the use of social media handles on the Internet, since it could come back to haunt them in the near future.
