NCCE Educates Assemblies of God Congregants on Digital Responsibility and Constitutional Values

The Kwahu Afram Plains North District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), as part of activities marking this year’s commemoration of the 1992 Constitution, engaged congregants of the Assemblies of God Church at Ata kora, a suburb of Donkor Krom, on Sunday, 7th June 2026.

The sensitization program was led by the District Director, Mr. James K. Agrona, under the national theme: “Upholding Our Constitution in the Digital Age: Our Collective Responsibility.”

The engagement focused on promoting responsible digital citizenship and creating awareness about the growing threats in the online space. Congregants were educated on issues such as misinformation, disinformation, cybercrime, online abuse, child online safety, online fraud, impersonation, inappropriate online content, invasion of privacy, and general online safety practices.

Participants were also taken through parental responsibilities and control measures to protect children online, as well as the various reporting channels available for cyber-related offences.

In addition, the NCCE highlighted the dangers of Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) and urged parents, guardians, and the public to remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding children from harmful online activities.

Mr. Agrona encouraged the congregants to uphold the values and principles enshrined in the 1992 Constitution by using digital platforms responsibly and contributing to a safe and respectful online environment for all citizens.
