The East Mamprusi Municipal Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), together with key stakeholders, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Gambaga as part of efforts to strengthen relationships and enhance collaboration within the municipality.
The visit aimed to formally introduce the Commission’s mandate, functions, and activities to the Chief while seeking his support in promoting civic education, peaceful coexistence, and community development.
During the engagement, officials of the NCCE highlighted the Commission’s role in educating citizens on their rights and responsibilities, promoting constitutional democracy, and fostering national unity. They emphasized the importance of collaboration with traditional authorities in achieving these objectives and ensuring active citizen participation in national development.
The Chief of Gambaga expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the Commission for its continuous efforts in educating the public on important national issues. He acknowledged the relevance of civic education in promoting peace, responsible citizenship, and social cohesion within communities.
The Chief further pledged his full support and cooperation to the NCCE and assured the delegation of his commitment to working closely with the Commission in implementing its program and activities across the traditional area.
The visit concluded with a group photograph and a renewed commitment by both the NCCE and the traditional authority to strengthen their partnership in advancing development and promoting civic responsibility in the East Mamprusi Municipality.
