NCCE Ashanti Regional Office Marks National Sanitation Day with Clean-Up Exercise

A clean and healthy environment is essential to promoting public well-being and creating a welcoming workplace. In recognition of this, staff of the Ashanti Regional Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) undertook a clean-up exercise as part of activities commemorating National Sanitation Day in October 2026.

Led by the Ashanti Regional Director of the NCCE, Madam Cynthia Anima Boadu, staff participated in cleaning the office compound and its immediate surroundings to improve sanitation and maintain a healthier working environment. The exercise also provided an opportunity for staff to demonstrate their commitment to environmental cleanliness and the civic responsibilities the Commission continues to promote through its public education activities.

Beyond improving the physical surroundings of the office, the exercise reinforced the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining clean public spaces. Through their active participation, staff demonstrated that promoting good sanitation practices requires individual commitment, teamwork, and sustained efforts from both institutions and community members.

Madam Boadu's involvement alongside staff highlighted the importance of leadership by example in promoting positive attitudes towards environmental sanitation. Her participation also reinforced the value of teamwork and encouraged staff to embrace cleanliness as a shared responsibility rather than an occasional activity.

The initiative further served as a practical reminder of the role individuals and institutions play in addressing sanitation challenges within their communities. By taking collective action to improve their immediate surroundings, staff of the NCCE Ashanti Regional Office demonstrated how everyday civic responsibilities can contribute to healthier workplaces, cleaner communities, and improved public well-being.
