The Cape Coast Metro Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) paid a working visit to Kastle fm in Cape Coast as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration for its regular civic education programme on the station. The visit, which took place in January 2026, was aimed at solidifying the working relationship between the Directorate and the broadcaster to support consistent public education messaging and sustained citizen engagement.
The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Directorate noted that radio remains one of the most effective platforms for reaching a broad cross-section of citizens, particularly through interactive programmes that enable community members to listen, learn, and participate through questions and feedback. During the working visit, the NCCE team engaged the station’s programme leadership and presenters to reaffirm their shared commitment to the collaborative programme and strengthen coordination for its continuity. Discussions emphasized the role of civic education broadcasting in promoting constitutional values, responsible citizenship, and constructive public participation, ensuring the programme remains relevant, well structured, and responsive to community needs.
The station presenters welcomed the delegation and expressed enthusiasm about the engagement. They pledged to work closely with the Directorate to sustain the programme and to support civic education messaging that contributes to shaping responsible citizens and promoting Ghana’s future.
In attendance were; Joseph Abban [Metro Diector], Araba Aikins [Assistant Director], Vivian Affor [CEO] and Mr Ogoe [programmes head, kastle fm]. The Cape Coast Metro Directorate continues to engage key media partners and other stakeholders as part of its strategy to broaden access to civic education and strengthen public understanding of rights, responsibilities, and national values.
