The Assin Foso Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has reaffirmed its cordial working relationship with the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) in the Municipality, following a courtesy visit by officials of the Commission.

The visit underscored the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting civic responsibility, safeguarding vulnerable groups, and fostering community collaboration in Assin Foso Municipality, in a bid to ensure that human rights are accorded the deserved recognition among residents.

Officer-in-Charge of the DOVSU unit, Chief Inspector Mary Yamoah, warmly received the delegation and expressed appreciation for the continued partnership. She emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in addressing issues of domestic violence, child protection, and civic awareness, noting that such collaborations enhance the delivery of justice and education at the community level.

She further applauded the Commission for the apt delivery on its mandate to ensure that the populace is well-informed about the provisions of the 1992 Constitution, which enhances their participation in the governance system.

The visit is an indication of the Commission’s commitment to fostering institutional ties and deepening stakeholder engagement across key public service institutions, ensuring that civic education remains a vital tool for community empowerment.

By strengthening this relationship, both the NCCE and the DOVVSU in the Assin Foso Municipality have signaled their readiness to continue working hand-in-hand to build a safer, more informed society.
