The National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, commiserates with the family of Brigadier-General, Constance Edjeani-Afenu, Ghana's First Female Brigadier-General of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). The sad incident occurred on Monday, 24th January, 2022. Brigadier-General, Constance Edjeani-Afenu was a friend of the Commission. In 2020, the Commission celebrated her during a national campaign on social media dubbed, 'Each for Equal'. The campaign honoured women who have distinguished themselves in their career path and social life. Brigadier-General Edjeani-Afenu served as a resource person for the campaign. The social media campaign served as a public platform to empower women and young girls on International Women's Day which focused on equal opportunity for all. May her soul rest in peace!
