North East Regional NCCE Promotes Responsible Digital Conduct among Security Services

The North East Regional Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has engaged personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Immigration Service, and Ghana Prisons Service as part of activities marking the 2026 Constitution Week Celebration.

Under the theme: “Upholding Our Constitution in the Digital Age: Our Collective Responsibility”, the disparate engagements sought to educate officers on constitutional values, responsible digital conduct, misinformation, and the collective duty of citizens to protect Ghana’s democracy and national cohesion.

Addressing the officers, the Deputy North East Regional Director, Mr Gariba Sato, Emphasis was placed on the importance of responsible use of digital platforms, as officers were urged to serve as ambassadors of constitutionalism, peace, and discipline both offline and online.

Participants were also encouraged to remain vigilant against hate speech, impersonation, and other cyber-related offences that threaten national stability.

The engagements are part of the Commission’s efforts to deepen public understanding of the 1992 Constitution and promote responsible citizenship among key stakeholders across the country.

The sessions were facilitated by the Deputy Regional Director, Gariba Sato, together with Yussif Abdul Rahaman and Mohammed Yahaya Iddi, who are staff at the North East Regional Office of the Commission.
