NCCE Kpassa Educates JHS Students on Responsible Digital Citizenship During Citizenship Week

As part of the 2026 Citizenship Week Celebration, the Kpassa District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) engaged students from four junior high schools in the Kpassa township on responsible digital citizenship.

The schools that participated in the educational program were Kpassa D/A JHS B1, Kpassa D/A JHS B2, Kpassa D/A JHS B3, and Kpassa D/A JHS B4. The event was held at the Kpassa D/A JHS B3 School Complex and formed part of the nationwide Citizenship Week activities under the sub-theme, "Growing Up Digital: The Ghanaian Child Upholding the Constitution Online."

Addressing the students, the Nkwanta North District Director of the NCCE, Mr. Fuseini Nurudeen, encouraged them to embrace technology as a valuable tool for learning and personal development while allowing the values and principles of the 1992 Constitution to guide their online conduct.

He advised the students to use the internet responsibly for educational purposes rather than engaging in harmful online activities. Mr. Nurudeen also educated the students on the importance of protecting their personal information, practicing safe internet use, and verifying information before sharing it online.

He further urged the students to make good use of digital technology to enrich their knowledge, enhance their academic performance, and become responsible digital citizens who uphold constitutional values both offline and online.

The students actively participated in the interactive session by asking questions and demonstrating a keen interest in learning how to stay safe and responsible in the digital space.
