The Ga West Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education has educated members of the Apostolic Church Ghana, Opah Assembly, on responsible digital citizenship as part of activities marking the 2026 Constitution Week Celebration.
Held on Sunday, 17th May 2026, the engagement was organised under the theme, “Upholding Our Constitution in a Digital Age: Our Collective Responsibility.” It sought to deepen public awareness of constitutional values and encourage responsible conduct in the digital space.
Participants were sensitised on the dangers of misinformation, disinformation, cybercrime, digital fraud, online abuse, and other harmful digital practices. They were encouraged to verify information before sharing it online and remain vigilant against cybercriminal activities.
Facilitating the session, Mr. Joseph Madjoub Afedzi and Mrs. Evelyn Aniakwa urged the congregation to use digital platforms responsibly and respect the rights and dignity of others online. They emphasised that every citizen has a role to play in protecting the integrity of Ghana’s digital space and promoting national cohesion.
The programme formed part of the NCCE’s ongoing efforts to deepen constitutional awareness, promote responsible citizenship, and encourage citizens to uphold constitutional values both online and offline.
