NCCE Educates Amazing Grace School Complex Pupils on Drug Abuse, Cybercrime and Sanitation

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Wassa Amenfi East Office, has organized a civic education engagement for pupils of the Amazing Grace School Complex on the dangers of drug abuse, cybercrime, and basic sanitation practices.

The engagement was facilitated by Mr. Joel A. Mensah and attracted a total of 168 pupils, comprising 73 males and 95 females, together with teachers at the school.

Mr. Mensah educated the pupils on the dangers and consequences of drug abuse, the risks associated with cybercrime, and the importance of environmental governance, particularly the adoption of good sanitation practices.

The pupils and teachers actively participated in the program and asked questions on issues affecting their daily lives. Among the questions raised was how to identify when a student is being bullied online and the possible effects on a child who lives in an environment where marijuana, commonly known as “wee,” is constantly smoked.

Mr. Mensah responded to the questions and provided practical guidance to help the pupils make informed and responsible decisions.

The engagement ended successfully, with the pupils and teachers expressing enthusiasm and appreciation for the education provided.
