"OBSERVING THE SAFETY PROTOCOLS IS A CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL CITIZENS" - NCCE

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has engaged students and staff at St. Augustine Senior High School - Bogoso in the Western Region on COVID-19 safety protocols. The exercise forms part of the Commission's Public Education Campaign on COVID-19 as part of measures to curb the spread of the virus in the country.

Chief Field Officer and a Programme Officer at the Preatea Huni-Valley Municipal office of NCCE, Mr. Justice Oscar Ackon, entreated students and staff to observe all the safety protocols. Mr. Ackon said observing the safety protocols is a civic responsibility for all citizens to protect themselves from contracting the coronavirus.

He encouraged them to always wear face masks when in the public, frequently washing of hands with soap under running water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer to sanitize their hands regularly, and stay at least 6 feet away from others. This he said will protect all citizens from contracting the virus.
