NCCE Empowers Ashanti Region Schools for Democratic Responsibility

To bolster democratic values, the NCCE Directorate of Sekyere Central, Ashanti region, has issued encouraged second cycle institutions, Presbyterian Sec/Tech SHS (Kwarmang) and Ghana Muslim Mission SHS (Beposo) to be law-abiding and desist from all forms of behaviour that will jeopardize their future.

The directive emphasizes adherence to the law and discourages behaviors jeopardizing students' futures. Discussions covered topics such as teenage pregnancy, child abuse, and fire safety best practices. The students were encouraged to actively participate in this year's electoral process.

The team also appealed to farmers, cigarette smokers, and fire users to exercise caution, warning of legal consequences. These young adults were made aware that the law would deal with anyone found culpable.

The District Director, Gordon Yeboah Opoku, led the program and advised the responsible use of electrical appliances to prevent potential hazards. Civic Education Clubs (CECs) were introduced and reactivated during this educational initiative.
