NCCE Kwahu South Municipal Inspires Youth Leadership and Environmental Advocacy at C.K.C. Baptist Preparatory School

The Kwahu South Municipal Office of the Commission, Eastern region, interacted with C.K.C. Baptist Preparatory School. The students were educated on Safeguarding the Environment and Child Online Bullying.

Mr. Emmanuel Ofori (ACEO) emphasized environmental protection through afforestation, reforestation, and discouraging illegal mining. He encouraged clean-up activities like desilting gutters and proper waste disposal. Mr. Ofori also advised against derogatory online behaviour.

There was also the reactivation of the Civic Education Club (CEC) where new executives were elected. Mr. Ofosu Dankyi, who was selected as the patron, aided in the nominations and elections. The Club leadership includes Williams Owusu Mintah (President), Erica Ofosua Frimpong (Vice President), Adutwum Kofi Asante (Secretary), Jemima Aboagyewaa (Vice Secretary), Osborn Oduro (Organizer), Emmanuella Asantewaa (Vice Organizer), Bennet Afram Osei (Treasurer), and Frederica Takyiwaa (Vice Treasurer).

The pupils expressed interest in environmental protection combatting online bullying and seeking parental assistance when they encounter strangers online. The session was attended by Mr. Emmanuel Ofori (ACEO), Ms. Peggy Bruce Ashong (ACEO), Mr. Desmond Konadu (PFO), and Mr Bismark Addo (NSP).
