AKYEMANSA NCCE takes COVID-19 education to the Muslim community

The Muslim community in the Akim Ofoase in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region has benefitted from COVID-19 public education organized by the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE. The team made up of Daniel Chartey, the District Director, Emmanuel Siaw Twum (CFO), and Andam-Yankson (SCEO) sensitized the community at the Akim Ofoase Central and Shia Mosque, market square and other members of the community. The education centred on myths and fake news about the COVID-19 vaccines. The team urged the public to rely on COVID-19 information from the Ghana Health Service or the World Health Organisation. The vaccine is safe, effective and free.
