SHUN ACTS OF CORRUPTION; REPORT CORRUPT ACTIVITIES

The Ketu South Municipal office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has reached out to citizens of Akame community near Denu in the Volta Region to educate them on the need to discourage acts of corruption in the municipality.

The Municipal Director at Ketu South, Daniel Glikpo in the company of other resource persons from the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) took turns to educate members of the community on NCCE/EU’s Anti – corruption, Rule of Law and Accountability Prgramme, ARAP. The NCCE as part of ARAP is sensitizing Ghanaians on the need to shun corruption and report corrupt activities in the municipality.

Community members were also educated on the National Anti-corruption Action Plan (NACAP). Mr. Noah Quacoo from CHRAJ highlighted the role and mandate of CHRAJ and explained how community members can access administrative justice.

Present at the gathering were opinion leaders, elders of the community and the assembly member for the area. The leadership of the community was pleased with the discourse and took the opportunity to ask questions on anti- corruption.
