GRA BOSS EDUCATES SCHOOLCHILDREN ON TAX

The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Nti, has encouraged pupils of Bishop Mixed JHS in Accra to build a tax-paying mindset as part of their academic development in order to contribute to the economic strength of the Country.

He asked pupils to play a role to make their parents, especially those in the informal sector to pay their taxes voluntarily. Serving as a volunteer at the NCCE’s 2018 Citizenship Week engagement, Mr. Nti explained to the children that taxes are used to build schools, roads, hospitals among others hence the need to attach seriousness to the payment of tax.

The theme for the week’s celebration was “Our Taxes Build a Great Ghana”.
